Workshop OverviewWhat is A+ Certification? The purpose of this certification is to set a standard for those working in the personal computer industry as technicians, help desk, and support staff. The applicants need to have a basic knowledge of personal computers, and Windows operating system. Those who do not have can take our Computer Knowledge Essentials to apply for this program. Many computer resellers and service companies today are required by hardware vendors to have A+ Certified personnel on staff. This ensures that these businesses are capable of providing high-quality, authorized service for their clients. Because of this requirement and because of the high standard set for attaining A+ Certification, employers often require that their personnel become A+ Certified. A+ Certification has become one of the most sought-after certifications in the computer industry. A candidate must pass a minimum of 2 tests. The first test is the A+ Core Hardware Service Technician Exam which covers basic microcomputer hardware, configuration, installing, upgrading, diagnostics and repair.
